¨Puerto Vallarta es un Paraíso¨ contestó Manuel Lepe cuando en una entrevista le preguntaron ¿Por qué siempre pinta ángeles en sus cielos?... y además ¿Por qué ángeles volando en aviones? Manuel respondió: ¨Porque ya se cansaron y es divertido¨. Manuel Lepe de la pintura ingenua en Puerto Vallarta. Su fama como pintor traspasó las fronteras de México llegando a estados Unidos y Europa. Manuel hizo muchas exposiciones, pero de la que siempre estuvo orgulloso, fue la del Museo de Ciencias e Industrias de Los Ángeles, la exhibición de 125 de sus pinturas batió los records de visitantes (más de un millón de personas). En el mismo año en el que murió Manuel, la UNICEF adquirió la pintura ¨El árbol de Navidad¨ para sus tarjetas navideñas. Manuel fue el tercero de once hijos, nació en Puerto Vallarta el 17 de abril de 1936. A los 46 años de edad, sufrió un aneurisma cerebral y murió el 9 de septiembre de 1984. Le sobreviven sus hijos Marcella, ¨Pinky¨ y Gaby. Lepe pinto más de 500 pinturas antes de morir y en la colección privada de sus hijos hay alrededor de 20 pinturas. Algunas obras están a la venta exclusivamente en el Museo Galería Manuel Lepe directamente con su hija Marcella Lepe.

At 46 years of age age, suffered a brain aneurysm and died on the 9th September 1984. He is survived by his children Marcella, ¨Pinky¨ and Gaby. Lepe painted more than 500 paintings before dying and in the private collection of his children there are around 20 paintings. Some works are for sale exclusively at the Manuel Lepe Gallery Museum directlywith his daughter Marcella Lepe.
